BEFORE BOOKING A CONSULTATION

Every patient who sees Dr Scamp requires a valid GP referral. It is possible to book a consultation before seeing a GP, as long as the referral is provided on the day of the appointment. Ensuring that all additional information is available to assist with the consultation is vital—for example, confirmation that BMI is appropriate for the procedure, current implant ID information (if the consultation involves existing implants), and any medical reports or scans that may have been performed. The helpful staff will be able to confirm if any additional information is required.

FEES

The fee to see Dr Scamp for the initial consultation is $280. A $100 deposit is required to secure the appointment when the booking is made, with the balance payable on the day. This consult fee includes at least two appointments, as it is essential that Dr Scamp see or speak with every patient (via a telehealth consult) prior to any surgery proceeding. Dr Scamp will thoroughly consult with each patient in person, ensuring that the surgeon and patient are on the same page regarding the expected outcome from the surgical procedure and that the most appropriate surgical plan is created.

3D Vectra Imagery System

If the procedure is suitable, the consultation will also include the use of the 3D Vectra imagery system. Dr Scamp will create a simulated image to showcase the aims of surgery. This technology can be used for most breast augmentation procedures (mammaplasty), some mastopexy/reduction (breast lift/reduction) procedures, and rhinoplasties.

During the consultation process, Dr Scamp will ensure that patients understand the general and specific risks associated with all procedures, any possible complications that may arise, and the risk of revision after surgery. All patients who undergo procedures with Dr Scamp are admitted to Pacific Private Hospital, whether for day surgery or an overnight stay, and all procedures are carried out under general anaesthetic. Dr Scamp has worked closely for many years with the team at Southport Anaesthetic Group and Pacific Private Hospital, ensuring that the highest level of patient care is administered.
